July 20, 2022 at 12:20 amWhat’s the best/preferred general surf fishing locations in and around Jacksonville? Fernandina? Little Talbot? Jax Beach? St. Augustine…?

2 years, 4 months agoIt really depends on personal preference… The bite could be great at any beach in the area.
There’s the convenience factor — how far do you want to drive? And then there’s other considerations, like atmosphere, pedestrian traffic, etc. I personally love fishing the surf at Amelia Island by George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier, but you need a 4WD vehicle to access the beach there. Huguenot Park is a good alternative, it can be fun to fish the jetty there, but it’s a little industrial for my liking.
