June 8, 2022 at 2:25 pmWe finally have a few days without wind. A good mess of jigable sardines and cigar minnows have made for some really successful offshore trips. Great numbers of kings, cobia, little tunny, aj’s and cudas have made for some really fun action. The strong SE winds brought in some really beautiful water, and with it, the great fishing we are having.
Grab a few Sabiki rigs and pop off the beach. Pogies are around so spending a few minutes checking the beach both north and south can net you a live well full. I love to overload my early morning run with pogies to use as live chum. The extra bait is also good for some bottom fishing that is also pretty fired up. Good numbers of red snapper, vermillion, triggers, amberines and a few sea bass can make for an awesome day.
The bite at the big stones can still be good with tarpon showing up along with oversized reds. Mangroves were chewing yesterday on the rocks and muds, mullet, pogies were a sure bet. Look for flounder in the mix to hit these baits, too.
Whether it's inshore or offshore, light tackle or heavy tackle, it's time that you contact Enterprise Fishing Charters to book your trip of a lifetime. Call to book a trip, or visit Enterprise Fishing Charters on the web.
